Preparing for Your Boudoir Session

We’ll guide you through every step when it comes to preparing for your boudoir session with our studio. Upon booking, we’ll send you our prep guide - a comprehensive guide telling you anything and everything you need to know when it comes to getting ready for your session. Here are a few tips to get you started.

  1. Choose your wardrobe

Boudoir photography focuses on your skin and the way the light shapes your body, so outfit choices should be kept simple. A simple black panty can do amazing things. If you’re looking for more coverage, there are so many unique options on the market - you can never go wrong with a sexy bodysuit.

Gather your options, and if you need help narrowing it down to your final selections, I’d be happy to help you on the day of your shoot!

2. Gather some inspiration

Take some time before your session to scroll my gallery and Instagram and save some shots you love, so we can incorporate similar shots into your session. I shoot a wide variety of images, so let me know what speaks to you!

When gathering inspiration, please stick to my work - while there are other incredible photographers out there, we all have our own ways of shooting so it is best to show us inspiration from our own collections.

3. Be ready to move

Believe it or not, a boudoir session is almost like a workout (but trust me, it’s totally manageable!)

Come to your session hydrated, nourished with a light, healthy breakfast, and be ready to move! Blast some of your favorite tunes on the way in, dance in front of your mirror when you get ready that morning - whatever gets you in the mood, do it! We are about to have a lot of fun!!

The Prep Guide you receive upon booking will go into a lot more detail, but I wanted to let you know some things you could expect to help you prepare. Ready to book? Get on my calendar below.
