I walk out of every shoot feeling like I have made a friend and had a fantastic opportunity to get to know a sensational woman. I am reminded each time that every woman is unique AND gorgeous AND has something incredible to offer. I have a hard time putting it into words, but I feel so blessed to have had and to continue having these opportunities. My shoots usually end up feeling like we just “hung out” for a couple hours. (Of course you’re in your underwear…), but that is what it feels like for me, and for that, I am grateful.
I love searching for inspiration. (Especially when I have tons of notsofun work to be doing!) I have been compiling it lately, in one organized place. Trust me, this is a BIG deal! I have years of “inspiration” stuffed away in folders, notebooks, emails, etc. Getting them all into one place as been quite the project. But I am always finding new inspiration along the way.
I will continue to post inspiration on the blog, but if you are aching for more and just cannot wait, click here to check out my “inspiration files” on tumblr. (Hint: click on archives to see everything at once.)

I am completely inspired by the incredibly sexy Rum Diary. You simple cannot go wrong with a little Aaron Eckheart, Johnny Depp and the gorgeous Amber Heard. Yum. Smart, funny and full of sexy.

Are you thinking of scheduling a maternity session? A Femme Art Boudoir maternity session is the perfect way to remember how gorgeous and incredible you look (and hopefully feel!) Your maternity session can be as sexy or as modest as you would like. We can even shoot outside the “boudoir”. Please contact me to schedule your session.
Embrace Your Feminine Side. Although most of my clients are having photos taken for their “man”, the experience ultimately ends up being for her. Case in point… the fabulous Jessica, a client who started with me as a mom for family photos! I have been photographing her family for 2 years now and after her boudoir shoot with me, she said “I’m sure my husband will be speechless, really it ended up not just being a gift for him but for me as well.”
Get to the point, right?? I know, I tend to babble. What I am getting at, is that after you have found your sexy bombshell looks, the bootie panties and t-shirt that he loves, pick something out for yourself. Something comfortable, pretty and feminine. Something you can wear again, under a t-shirt and sweats, and feel luxurious. You could bring your pajamas, a robe or something sweet from Anthropologie’s gorgeous lingerie collection, (seriously, you must check this out.)
Are you wondering when to schedule your session? I typically suggest scheduling up to 2 months in advance. After your Femme Art Boudoir photo shoot, your final images are typically finished within two weeks and I want to be sure that you have ample amount of time to make your choices and have your finished products delivered in time for your wedding, anniversary, etc.. Please try to give yourself a little time cushion, and remember that I can work with your timeline, whatever it may be!
Please call or send me an email to schedule your boudoir session.
My current girl crush… Amanda Seyfried. Her sexiness will inspire you.
“Doing the boudoir shoot with Pamela was one of the most nerve wracking, yet exciting events I’ve encountered. Going in to the photo shoot I was extremely nervous, but after just a few minutes Pamela made me feel so at ease, and beautiful yet sexy, in addition to the help of Linda who is an amazing hair and makeup artist. The photos turned out absolutely stunning and I don’t think that there was a more perfect gift to give to my husband on the night prior to our wedding. He, (along with others) that I have shown are so amazed at the professionalism and outright beauty the photos displayed. Pamela is a phenomenal photographer and artist. I would highly recommend her to everyone wanting to do something a little different; as a gift for a spouse/partner, or even as a gift for themselves.”
TOP TEN BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY PHOTOSHOOT TIPS
1. Moisturize your skin. To get that soft, supple, natural glow.
2. Get a manicure and pedicure. Your toes need to look pretty too!!
3. Don’t wear any elastic or tight clothing the day of your ……..
I have lots of clients who are nervous about not knowing how to pose and I PROMISE YOU, it will be easier than you think. Most of the time, you will just lie there and relax! As if you lie across the bed in your lingerie looking longingly out the window all the time. I won’t lie, there will be things I ask you to do that will require a bit of a push here and a lift there, and you may be a little sore the next day, but it is all easy and natural. And it is all worth it……
This tip comes from the fabulous Linda Wagner (my makeup artist/ stylist/ friend :)…..) Please visit her website to view her incredible work. Linda does makeup and styling for my boudoir shoots, she is lovely in every way. And all of my clients leave loving her too :)
No matter whether you were blessed with the most amazing lashes, (which in my experience, little boys seem to have the best) or just average length; you can pump up the volume by just adding a simple strip of lashes, bringing more allure to the eye. Don’t let the false lash scare you, here is all you have to do……
I think she is flirting with me right through the camera. She says, in her gorgeous accent, “look at my incredible hair, how it falls effortlessly in such a ruffled sexed up mess.” I first met her in A Good Year, with Russel Crow, whom I typically don’t love, but LOOOVVVEEE that movie. Watch it, you will love her. I still haven’t seen La Vie En Rose… although I am certainly inspired to now. She is…. ridiculous.
What kind of shoes should you bring to your boudoir photography session?
Keep it simple! Bring a pair of sexy black stilettos and a pair of fun/stylish shoes. (Be sure they are high!) Heels play a very important parts in a shoot. They give you a little lift and can make you feel incredibly sexy, whether they are in the shot or not. And then of course the obvious, they look HOT! I am most certainly not a “high heel” wearing girl, but when I do force myself to put on a pair, I feel like an instant bombshell. It just gives you that extra oomph. Don’t worry if they are too high or uncomfortable, you won’t be doing much walking, I promise!
What Accessories should you bring to the shoot?
This shot is just the “tip of the iceberg” of a incredibly sexy shoot. S.E.X.Y. Trust me.
I tend to ask my clients to bring just a few pieces of jewelry, mainly because I won’t focus on it and it gets lost in the photo. But when you work it into a specific look, like she did, it finds a way to work perfectly!
A big chunky necklace that falls across you back in just the right spot, an engagement ring, some diamond earrings or a necklace he bought you as a gift; whatever it is, keep it simple and work it into the look.
Hats are also a fabulous accessory – especially a fedora… and maybe a pair of suspenders. H. O. T.!
How to pull the camera’s pants down with your eyes.
There are all sorts of ways to get that certain look in your eyes. The biggest challenge is doing it in front of the camera without looking cheesy and not laughing!! Here is my tip. (I should add here that I read this tip on another blog, and sadly, I cannot find the source. So, please, if you wrote this and are reading it here, please comment and let me know so that I can give you proper credit!)
You can try this at home too, in front of your mirror. Pair it with the previous tip on touching yourself for the ultimate effect :) It’s easy, close your eyes. Take a very slow deep breath in. Now open your eyes as you let it out looking straight into the camera.
This will give you a relaxed, seductively sexy look. hotness.
You do not have to be naked to be sexy. I repeat, you do not have to be naked to be sexy. You can wear your bathing suit, you can wear a t-shirt and jeans; you can even wear a slim fitting dress. For those of you who would LOVE to experience a boudoir shoot but don’t feel comfortable getting down to your skivvies, BE INSPIRED. A shoulder is sexy. The lines in your back… are sexy. Your bra popping out of a tight cardigan looks AMAZING. That little black dress that you feel so gorgeous in does NOT have to be saved for just those special occasions. Pull it out for your shoot. If it makes you feel sexy, bring it. Whether it covers your lady parts or not.
I’m not a huge on “posing”. That’s not to say that I do not help you to pose. I promise I do! I just tend to see what I want in what you will do naturally. I will often stop a client while she is getting up from a pose or fixing something on her panties. I am just responding to your natural movement. Finding those little sexy things only you do. Things you might not notice. This is Rene. She is simply stunning. Seriously, after our shoot, I felt sexier! We shot this a couple of years ago, but I needed her to help me illustrate today’s posing tip. Notice the theme in the images below? She is touching herself. Yes, I know, it sounds dirty. But I promise, it makes your photos that much sexier and sensual if you just touch yourself. USE your hands. Be it a hand running through your hair, or brushing across your…
One of the first questions I hear at a shoot is, “What am I supposed to do with my face?” During your session, I will surely help you with different facial expressions, but my favorite shots are those where you are laughing.
When someone laughs, you get to see their true smile, and if you take the shot just at the right moment, you can capture the perfect sexy smile. While you are laughing I can capture you looking natural and happy. Don’t be surprised if I ask you to simply laugh out loud. Don’t be shy, you can do it. And even though it may feel strange, in the end, you will giggle…. fo realz. And that is the moment I am looking for.
“I just wanted to let you know I gave the pictures to him last night and he absolutely LOVED them, and was so shocked. It was so cute to see the look on his face as he flipped through the book, seeing me like that :). Thank you SO much for such an amazing experience and gift to give him! I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!”
This weeks girl crush is the gorgeous Elizabeth Hurley. I love her confidence. I love her cheekbones. And after putting this inspiration board together, I also LOVE her legs. I think even my grandma would love her legs.
